Anthony is a 49 year old, father of four residing in WA’s south west region. His life has provided a diverse range of experiences, from working in retail and commercial fishing to construction and mining, and now recruitment. This experience is coupled with his personal journeys through addiction, drug dealing and bankruptcy. Anthony has now found a path to use this experience to help those who’ve found themselves in similar situations.
Inspired by breaking down the industry stigma of employing someone who has been incarcerated, and the personal stigma of gaining employment post-release, Anthony has founded Reboot Australia, a social enterprise designed to help individuals reintegrate through supported employment outcomes.
Over the last four years Anthony and his team have helped 155+ formerly incarcerated people into supported employment (95 in the past 18 months), educated more than 4000 inmates on industry employment needs, how to get work post-release and how to leverage all available support services and funding, and work hand in hand with the Department of Justice to create clear pathways from incarceration into employment.
